Resumé: Asbjørn Andersen holds an M. Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from NTH (Technical University of Norway, currently referred to as NTNU) in 1988. Asbjørn joined ExproSoft as senior consultant in 2004, after spending 10 years in various positions at SINTEFs Drilling and Well Technology Dept. and Safety and Reliability Dept. His work experience encompasses design and qualification of well equipment, as well as detailed reliability assessment of various equipment in the upstream sector. Asbjørn has also managed ExproSofts extensive efforts on development of a new knowledge base for the drilling and well technology sector.

Resumé:Eystein Bye has an M. Sc. in Computer Science from NTNU (2005). His area of expertise is from developing web applications. His work experience is from ADComData, Kvalito IT and Adligo Web. Eystein joined ExproSoft from 5 February 2007. In his assignment with ExproSoft, Eystein is responsible for the technical development of ExproBase and other web applications.

Resumé: Kjell graduated from NTNU in 1993 with an M. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, majoring in Reliability Engineering. He has 9 years experience from safety and reliability engineering at SINTEF, prior to joining ExproSoft on 1 January 2003. Kjell completed a Ph. D from NTNU in 2006. The title of the thesis was "Well Safety – Risk control in the operational phase of offshore wells". Main field of competence is risk and reliability studies related to subsea and well technology. Kjell is the WIMS project responsible and initiated the WIMS software development process after finishing his Ph.D., and has since then been heavily involved in defining the software functionality. Currently he manages ExproSoft initiatives within well integrity and is involved with risk assessments and work process development.

Resumé:Per graduated from NTNU in 1982 with a M. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering. He has 18 years experience from safety and reliability engineering at SINTEF, prior to joining ExproSoft on 1 May 2001. His main work focus in SINTEF and ExproSoft has been on the reliability of drilling equipment, offshore blowout experience, subsea and well reliability analyses. He has carried out numerous subsea BOP reliability studies on behalf of clients in Norway, Brazil, US and Italy. Since 1990 he has been responsible for maintaining the SINTEF Offshore Blowout Database, which serves as the key information in connection with blowout risk analyses in the North Sea area. He holds a PhD (1996) in safety and reliability engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway. His PhD was later reworked and published as a book at the Gulf Publishing Company in 1997 (Title: Offshore Blowouts, Causes and Trends).

Resumé:Hans Peter has 25 years of experience with offshore/subsea and well related projects for the offshore industry, mainly in the areas of prototype development and technology qualification, reliability analysis/FMECA and technical evaluations/ design reviews, in particular related to downhole safety valves and well completions, subsea equipment and interventions. He received his M.Sc degree from NTH (Technical University of Norway, currently denoted as NTNU) in 1981, specializing in Machine Design/ Mechanical Engineering. He worked at SINTEF Production Engineering from 1982 to 1994, at SINTEF Materials Technology/Machine Design from 1994 to 1996, at SINTEF Safety and Reliability from 1996 to 1997, and at SINTEF Petroleum Research / Drilling and Well Technology and Subsea and Well Technology departments from 1997 to 2001.

Resumé: Einar has 25 years experience from offshore safety and reliability related projects from various positions at SINTEF in Trondheim, Norway since 1983, and from ExproSoft since 2000. His career experience is mainly related to applied reliability studies and reliability database development for downhole equipment and subsea systems for the offshore industry. Molnes was head of SINTEFs reliability engineering group 1990-1995, and Research Director of SINTEF Petroleum Research’s Drilling and Well Technology Department 1996-1999. He has been Managing Director and a Senior Consultant with ExproSoft since the company entered business operations in April 2000.

Terje spent 4 years with Pride, prior to setting up his own company WinTeam in 1994. He left WinTeam to become co-founder of ExproSoft in April 2000.

Resumé: Arne Kristian holds a M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2006. During his M.Sc. thesis he was involved in a project for development of a new tool for experience transfer with a major oil company. He has previously worked for Bibsys and TietoEnator. His last assignment was on further development of a software system for gas dispatching and message handling for Gassco. At ExproSoft, Arne Kristian will be involved with software application development (primarily WellMaster and WIMS).

Resumé:Professor of Reliability Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway, acting as Scientific Advisor to ExproSoft on an individual project basis. He started his career as a lecturer in mathematical statistics at NTNU in 1976. From 1980 to 1990 he worked at SINTEF with safety and reliability projects. His activities were mainly related to reliability assessment of SCSSVs and well equipment and subsea BOP systems. For the last four years of this period he was the director of SINTEF’s Safety and Reliability division. Since 1990 he has served as Professor of Reliability Engineering at NTNU. In 1995/1996 he was a visiting professor at the Civil and Offshore Department at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh in Scotland. From 1996 he has also served as vice dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at NTNU. He is know a Scientific Advisor and Chairman of the Board of ExproSoft.

Resumé:Formerly a research scientist at the Department of Subsea and Well Technology at SINTEF Petroleum Research. Strand has been involved in numerous risk and reliability studies related to subsea and well technology. He earned a Mechanical Engineering degree at Gjoevik College in 1995 and received a MSc in Safety and Reliability Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 1998. Geir-Ove joined ExproSoft as Risk and Reliability Consultant in August 2000. In his position with ExproSoft, he has extensive experience from risk and reliability studies for the upstream sector, development of risk based procedures and standards and more recently, specification and programming of a Monte Carlo simulator for development planning for new offshore oil/gas fields. This simulator (FieldSim) is described in more detail under ExproSoft's Products-page.

Resumé: Folke Sørli holds an M. Sc. degree in Marine Technology from NTNU in 2003, majoring in information and communication technology (ICT) for the offshore industry.

Prior to joining ExproSoft in 2006, Folke worked at SINTEF for 3 years, first at the Safety and Reliability department and then participated in establishing the Smarter Together department. At SINTEF he worked with work process modeling and development, software design consultancy with regard to ICT solutions as well as organizational change processes for major companies in the offshore oil and gas industry.

After joining ExproSoft he has focused on well integrity and has been working with development and improvements of customer procedures and information handling systems, well integrity risk assessments and has been one of the main architects of the WIMS application. His role in software development is to translate customer requirements to product specifications and to establish a functional design. As such, he is engaged in redesigning our existing portfolio of software applications. Folke is also leading the work to establish implementation processes for our WIMS customers.

Resumé: Rita Merete Sørskår has been in the oil industry since graduating as a B. Sc. in Petroleum Engineering in 2004 from the University of Stavanger. She was previously employed by Proffshore AS for a short period as a Senior Consultant. Her first assignment was with Baker Hughes Drilling Fluids Norway in a position as Offshore Drilling Fluids Engineer. During her professional offshore experience she was responsible for the drilling fluids on board, followed up the operations fluids and was a drilling process advisor for everything concerning fluids. In addition she does lecturing in Drilling Fluids for EXSTO Offshore Education. Rita Merete joined ExproSoft in June 2008 as a Senior Engineer. At ExproSoft Rita will be involved in consulting services related to Well Integrity.

He has more than fifteen years of experience at SINTEF on safety and reliability projects. At SINTEF he also was one of the main developers of the CARA (Computer Aided Reliability Analysis) package. Since 2000 he has served as Professor of Reliability Engineering at NTNU.
